    What Happened

    Our website experienced intermittent slowdowns and service errors due to a performance issue with our analytics tracking system.

    Root Cause

    Analytics tracking calls were blocking the main website response, causing delays when the analytics service experienced issues.

    Resolution

    We optimized our system to process analytics tracking independently from website responses, ensuring external service issues can no longer impact site performance.

    Prevention

    This architectural improvement ensures similar analytics service issues will not affect website availability in the future.

    The storage was configured in a mode that could not keep up with sustained traffic, which caused requests to slow down and eventually stop responding.

    We have updated the file system to an elastic configuration that automatically scales with demand, and the service is now fully restored.

    We are also improving monitoring and alerts so that similar issues can be detected and mitigated more quickly in the future.
